    刘前,日本工学博士,曾在日本北海道大学和日本国立产业技术综合研究所(AIST)学习工作多年,2005年归国后,任国家纳米科学中心研究员,博士生导师,科技管理部主任。现为国家纳米科学中心二级研究员,中国科学院大学、南开大学教授和苏州纳米所客座研究员,是澳大利亚科学研究委员会(ARC)海外评审专家,《现代物理》的主编,近10个英文和中文杂志的编委,中科院纳米器件重点实验室、哈工大环境与生态纳米技术联合研究中心学术委员会委员,2013年度材料领域中国科学人年度人物称号,2014年爱思唯尔中国高被引学者。作为首席科学家或课题负责人已承担完成国家973、863、基金委重大研究计划、科技部重大研究计划、中科院重点方向性、科技部国际合作、欧盟等科研项目,已在Adv Mater、Nano Letters、JACS、等刊物发表论文160余篇,撰写英文专著一部(Novel Optical Technologies for Nanofabrication, Springer出版)和英文章节多篇,译著一部,获授权和申请中的美、日以及中国发明专利30余项。
